MARCH 2010 NEWSLETTER

 Dear Parents,

Time is quickly moving along into springtime and there are a few important dates to mention.  (Please hang this newsletter on the fridge for a quick reference to dates.)

 --Registration for 2010 Fall MDO session is ongoing.  

--SPRING BREAK!! March 15th-19th – NO MDO

 --Easter Parties will be Tuesday March 30^th and Wednesday March 31^st .  Please look for sign up sheets outside your child’s classroom, take note of the amount of eggs requested, as this will vary per classroom.  The plastic eggs should be filled with an age appropriate treat and taped shut.  We will provide bags for our egg hunt; please do not bring Easter baskets to school.

 --THERE WILL BE NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY APRIL 2^ND, DUE TO GOOD FRIDAY.

--St. Jude Children’s Hospital Fundraiser  During the weeks of March 23^rd  thru April 1^st  we will be collecting loose change for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  Your children will be receiving a bike & trike safety coloring book from the St. Jude.  There will be collection bottles in both buildings for the children to put change in.  Thank you for supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  

 We are currently looking at putting together a summer program to take place during the month of July, please look for information to come.

 Reminder –- All doors of the church buildings are locked at all times, except for the hours of 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 – 2:10 p.m. Visitors coming in other than these times are asked to enter through the church office entrance on the east side of the main building. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, as this is for everyone’s safety.

With the weather starting to get nice outside, we would like to remind everyone that your child needs to be wearing rubber soled, closed toed shoes.  Velcro shoes work best so that the children can remove pebbles from their shoes during playground time. (No sandals, boots, or flip-flops) Thank you!!

We want to thank everyone for being so good about keeping your little ones at home who appear to be ill! We do everything we can here to avoid exchanging germs among the staff and children, and we really appreciate your cooperation as well! Remember: no fever, vomiting, rashes or nasty noses!!!

Please remember to drive slowly through the parking lot, and back parking lot is for staff parking only; we care about the safety of you and your families!! Thank you!
