What are worship services like?
Epiphany welcomes children in worship.
Epiphany welcomes children in worship. Worship is Christ-centered praise and adoration. And worship is the most important way by which people learn what it means to be a follower of Christ. Children themselves learn worship by worshiping with the congregation Sunday after Sunday. They learn:
That they belong to Christ and are welcome in His Church;
The stories from the Bible, read and interpreted, through which God speaks directly to them;
They witness the visible grace of Baptism and Communion as guarantees of God's love in His Son;
The Lord's Prayer, the Apostles' Creed and other elements of the service from memory;
How to build family and community which they may draw from as they grow older;
The enrichment that comes from music and art as expressions of praise and as a human response to God's grace in Christ.
Bringing children to worship may not always be easy, but Epiphany believes it is an essential part of a child's growth toward Christ.
